I have been working at GDATA CyberDefense AG, a German antivirus and MXDR vendor since 2015, starting as Malware Analyst and now as Principle Malware Researcher. I hold a master's degree in computer science and have a passion for malware analysis.
My interest began as a teenager when my computer was infected, and I received help online to remove it. This experience sparked my fascination with malware. I completed a one-year training in malware removal and volunteered for system disinfection.
I noticed an increasing number of people seeking help for malware infections, especially with irreversible damage from ransomware. This motivated me to shift my focus to prevention, because I wanted to equip people with the knowledge to protect themselves and others from malware infections.
